Coaches Biography

Rick Moreno

Founder, Sudden Victory Wrestling Academy

Rick-Moreno-VictoryWrestling has been the backbone of many of the ideals I have lived by throughout my life. I began wrestling at 6 years old. Wrestling has taught me many of the physical and metal disciplines that have helped propel me in many aspects of my life, both personally and professionally.


I am originally from Glenwood, Iowa. I went to college in North Idaho and Mt. St. Clare in Iowa.


I have worked for the United States Forest Service for 18 Years. I have held many positions in the elite firefighting ranks such as Superintendent of a Hot Shot Crew and Missoula Smokejumper. I am currently  the Assistant Fire Management Officer on the Stevensville Ranger District.

I have been married for 13 years and have 3 children.
