2011 Sudden Victory Camp Wrestlers and Technicians!
First of all, I would like to thank all the wrestlers and parents for their participation and support!! I was very pleased with the turn out and level of intensity that you all brought! Second, I would like to thank my family and Ryak Finch for coming up and helping me put on a quality camp. I'm really excited about starting the season off here in September. I believe Missoula and the surrounding area has a big future ahead of itself in the sport of wrestling. It is going to be my honor and privilege to be able to coach and mentor such fine young wrestlers. I also would like to be clear that it will be a long road, but through hard work and determination I believe we can accomplish great things together. I was asked this past week about what was it that made the Midwest/Iowa so tough in wrestling. I'm here to tell you that there is nothing special in the water or that they have secret moves....it's simple. What makes those states so tough is that they wrestle all year long and they pay attention to the small details when it comes to technique. I believe it is the small details that makes the separation from good to great. As a successful wrestler and coach, I am here to bring that knowledge, technique, and motivation that will produce great wrestlers. The style and philosophies that I instill are base on solid fundamental wrestling that is successful at all levels. I am also here to say that I can't do it alone. The wrestler needs to realize the sacrifice and commitment that it will take to be a champion and train for it with a passion! Most importantly it will take the support of the parents and fellow wrestlers to achieve these goals. Like I stated above, alone we can not achieve these goals, but together we can....CHAMPIONS ARE MADE IN PAIRS!!! Please feel free to contact me with any concerns and questions.
